Cochrane Blanket Drive 2023: Wrapping Our Community in Warmth and Love!

As winter's chill settles in, we have a heartwarming opportunity to come together and make a real difference in the lives of our furry friends. We are thrilled to announce that, for the second year in a row, I am teaming up with a Joni Ferguson local mortgage broker with Brokers For Life and Cochrane Pet Valu to host a Blanket Drive in support of our beloved Cochrane & Area Humane Society and Garcia Rescue.

Our goal? To make this year's event even more successful than the last, when our community's generosity filled three entire truckloads with donations of much-needed supplies. Our Cochrane Blanket Drive last year was a resounding success, a testament to the boundless generosity of our community. We collected an astonishing three truckloads filled to the brim with essential supplies, including cat litter, pet food, toys, and countless other pet necessities. The outpouring of support was nothing short of remarkable, and it warmed our hearts as well as those of the animals in need.

We can't express our gratitude enough for the incredible support our town has shown us. You, our friends and neighbors, demonstrated the true meaning of community. Your kindness and willingness to come together to help those who cannot help themselves were a powerful reminder of the incredible spirit that defines our town.

This year, we are excited to continue this beautiful tradition of giving. Me and my partners - Joni and Pet Valu are as committed as ever to making this year's Blanket Drive an even greater success. We are determined to provide warmth, comfort, and joy to our four-legged companions during the coldest months.

How You Can Help!

Participating in our Blanket Drive is easy and incredibly rewarding. Simply drop off new or gently used blankets and towels, pet bedding, paper towels, pet food, toys, and any other pet supplies (find the wish list of the Cochrane & Area Humane Society attached to this blog) at Cochrane Pet Valu, 80 Bow Street, Cochrane.

If you'd like to donate but can't make it to the drop-off location, no worries! Our team is here to help! Simply send an email to blanketdrivecochrane@gmail.com, and we'll arrange a convenient pickup time for your donations on December 2nd and 3rd between 12pm - 3pm. Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference!
